The partnership between IATL and Anthem Press, a major independent partner of Cambridge University Press [CUP], will begin next year with the launch of The Anthem Theatre Leaders Perspectives: 50 volumes dedicated to contemporary theatre leadership. This unparallel editorial project will provide authoritative and comprehensive assessments of prominent visionaries who have redefined the world of performing arts through their unique approaches.

The concise and articulated volumes will explore the impact made by the most significant creative leaders of the theatrical world, from Sasha Waltz to Ariane Mnouchkine, from Katie Mitchell to Julie Taymor, from Thomas Ostermeier to Robert Wilson, from Krzysztof Warlikowski to Simon McBurney, from Stan Lai to Peter Sellars. The books – indexed in all the main research databases and following the peer-review requirements of CUP – will be aimed at a most diverse readership, including theatre and performing arts scholars, undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as practitioners.

More details will follow in early 2025, when the first official Calls will be announced for the inaugural volumes of the series.
