Ricardo Abad, a true theatre leader (1946 – 2023)

It is with great sadness that we inform you about the fact that Ricardo Abad, a prominent IATL Advisory Board Member, has passed away after a long period of suffering. Ricardo was a true leader of Filipino theatre, an inspiring teacher, a mentor for generations of artists from Asia and beyond. So many of us remain grateful to him for his guidance and generosity. Our thoughts are with his family and his colleagues from Ateneo de Manila University. May he rest in peace.
