The members of the association are recognised theatre leaders, with a solid track record of professional achievements – from curating, programming and administration to academia, authorship and cultural diplomacy. IATL is equally open to young, emerging leaders with a promising portfolio of activities.

Apart from directly participating in the General Assembly, the membership or fellowship card grants the holder the possibility to propose projects and benefit from counselling, logistic support and exposure through the association’s channels and platforms for those respective projects, once they have been approved by the Executive Board. One important dimension of the association involves facilitating connectivity, cultural exchanges and mediation across borders, therefore projects with an international scope are particularly encouraged.
