The International Mentorship Programme for Emerging Theatre Leaders

The International Mentorship Programme for Emerging Theatre Leaders is the first major project of IATL. The programme is organised in three stages and it is designed to empower young theatre leaders in developing their skills and expanding their networks.

The first part is the International Workshop Series for Emerging Theatre Leaders and consists of four workshops, to be held online in late November / early December 2022. The workshops are meant to provide young theatre leaders from all around the world, particularly from developing countries, with opportunities to learn from top experts in the field.

The second part of the programme involves a series of Internships at some major cultural institutions in the area of performing arts such as: Sibiu International Theatre Festival, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Wuzhen International Theatre Festival, the Grotowski Institute, The Theater Times, etc. The internships are fully-funded by IATL, and they will be available for a limited number of workshop participants.

This start-up mentorship programme will culminate with the inaugural Emerging Theatre Leaders International Awards, to the value of 10.000 Euros, which will recognize the global front-runners of a new generation in performing arts.
